How to get an eVisa

The Turkey e-Visa is a visa that allows citizens of certain countries to travel to Turkey for up to 90 days. To obtain an e-Visa you must first apply online. The application process can be completed in two steps. In the first step you will need to provide your passport information and send in a photograph. In the second step you will need to upload your passport copy and answer a few questions about your visit. You will then need to go to the Turkish Embassy or Consulate nearest to you and submit your application paperwork.

Some required documents for the Turkey E-Visa include: a valid passport that has been valid for at least six months from the date of planned departure; a copy of the visa application form completed online; identification that includes your photograph; and proof of financial responsibility if travelling with children or elderly relatives. If travelling on business or as part of a group trip please ensure that you also submit: proof of company registration; letters of invitation from companies/organisations in Turkey. Requirements for an eVisa

There are a few things that you will need in order to apply for an eVisa to travel to Turkey. These items include your passport, your visa application form, 2 passport-sized photos, and the fees associated with the application.

The visa application form can be found online or at any Turkish embassy or consulate. The application fee is $60 for nationals of most countries, but may vary depending on the country of origin. You will also need to provide your passport information and two passport-sized photos. Make sure that your photos are recent, as the visa processing time may be up to six weeks.

If you are traveling as part of a group (with at least 8 people), then you will need to submit a group invitation letter along with your visa application. The letter should state where and when the group travel is scheduled to start and end, as well as list each member’s name, passport number, and nationality.

Tips for extending your Turkey Visa

If you are planning to visit Turkey for a longer period of time, or if you have business interests in the country, it may be worth considering an E-Visa. Here are some tips on how to get one:

  1. Check the requirements first. Most importantly, make sure that you meet all the criteria set by the Turkish government – specifically, that your stay will not exceed 90 days and that you have a valid travel document (such as a passport) that is valid for at least six months after your planned departure from Turkey.
  2. Prepare your documents. In addition to having a valid passport, you’ll need proof of citizenship (such as a birth certificate or driver’s license) and proof of accommodation in Turkey (a hotel reservation or rental agreement). You may also be asked for letters of invitation from Turkish entities or individuals.
  3. Make arrangements in advance. If possible, try to make arrangements for an E-Visa application well in advance of your trip – this will help ensure that there is no wait time and that you can plan your itinerary around the visa process.
  4. Review the process online. If you’re familiar with online applications and have access to a computer with internet access, you can apply for an E-Visa through the Turkish government’s website (www.evisa-turkey.gov).
