Turkish Visa For Indian & Indonesian Citizens

Turkey has recently agreed to allow Indian citizens to apply for a visa on arrival at all of its international airports, a move that aims to help boost the bilateral trade between both countries.

What is the Turkey Visa?

The Turkey visa is a document that allows a foreigner to enter and stay in Turkey for a period of up to 30 days. The visa is not required for citizens of some countries, including India.

The following are the requirements for obtaining a Turkey Visa for Indian Citizens:

-A passport valid for at least six months after the date of travel

-A visa application form

-A passport-size photograph

-A application fee (currently $25)

-Proof of onward travel, such as an airline ticket or hotel reservation

Who can apply for a Turkey Visa?

Turkish nationals can apply for a visa to stay in Turkey for a period of up to 90 days. Nationals of the following countries can also apply for a visa: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen. Citizens of the following countries are not eligible to apply for a visa: Israel.

If you are not a Turkish national or one of the countries mentioned above and you wish to travel to Turkey for tourism purposes only you will need to obtain a tourist visa. You can apply for a tourist visa at any Turkish embassy or consulate in your home country.

Your application will require the following: your passport with at least six months remaining on it; a photograph; proof of financial resources (currency and/or credit cards); and evidence that you have secured hotel reservations in Turkey. The application fee is $30.00 USD.

Turkish visas are valid for three months from the date of issue and must be used within that timeframe. If you intend to stay longer than 90 days you will need to apply for a multiple entry visa. Multiple entry visas are valid for six months from Turkey Visa for Indonesian Citizens

How long does it take to process a Turkey Visa?

The process of obtaining a Turkish visa can take anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks, depending on your nationality and the time of year.

Once you have submitted all of the required documents and paid the requisite visa application fee, you will be contacted by the Turkish consulate to schedule an appointment for you to come in for an interview.

There is no fee associated with a Turkey Visa application.

If you are applying from outside of Turkey, you will need to pay the visa application fee. This fee is currently set at €60.

Turkey Visa Renewals

If you have a valid Turkish visa and are traveling to Turkey for less than 90 days, you may need to renew your visa in advance.

To renew your Turkish visa, visit your nearest Turkish embassy or consulate office between 90 and 120 days before your travel date.

Please note that if you are traveling to Turkey for medical reasons, you will not need to renew your visa.

You will be required to fill out a new application form and pay the applicable fees. Your new visa will be valid for the length of your stay in Turkey.
